I look forward to all charity and volunteer requests

makeup artistry making a difference

At the heart of Chic Cheeks Makeup Artistry,  is my belief that beauty gives back.  This has guided the principles of my philanthropic giving.

On a regular basis I volunteer with Look Good Feel Better, at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, to help women face cancer with confidence.  Donating my time and makeup artistry expertise to this free two hour workshop taking cancer patients through the program's Signature Steps in skin care, cover-up, eyes and colour as well as hair alternatives is a uniquely uplifting opportunity.

Furthermore, in dedication to my mother diagnosed with "Early Onset Alzheimer's" at age 50 in 2003 and treated at Baycrest, I have directed attention towards supporting Alzheimer's research:

  • Baycrest  Foundation provides crucial funding to Baycrest an academic health sciences centre, internationally renowned for its care of aging adults and its excellence in aging brain research, clinical interventions and treatments, and promising cognitive rehabilitation strategies.
  • From personal experience, I truly appreciate how important it is, as a caregiver, to take the time you need to care for yourself too. From every Caregivers GIVE BACK Universally Chic Makeup Session $5 will be donated to the Baycrest Foundation.
  • Today, though my mother remains in the 'end-of-life stage' of Alzheimer's receiving comfort care, she's often treated to a makeup makeover by me and the grandkids -- who love maintaining her look of grace and poise as she was so well known for.
